Annual Hogle Zoo Show
I got accepted to the Hogle Zoo Show. It runs from January 29 – March 14, 2010. The address for the show is: 2600 East Sunnyside Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah 84108. It is a well established show for those who appreciate animals.

This is the painting that got accepted. It features a male and female Western Tanager. I was considering relationships, and color, shape and Autumn when I painted this. It is painted on panel, in this case reclaimed wood. I enjoy birds, artistically and from a naturalist point of view.
Dec. 2009 – Springville Museum Spiritual and Religious Show
Rising to a Higher Power - 2009
This is one of the pieces that I got into the Spirituality Show, the lovely thing is that when I picked it up the curator said that I’d had a lot of comments on it. Also she said that when her mother came to see the show that this piece made her cry. Wow! It absolutely made my day.
Procreation’s Expiration Date - 2009
This piece is about our limited time to live and create. I also got comments about this piece from the Spiritual Show, but they where more along the lines of, oh yeah I know that piece. So what does that mean? It is good to be noticed and remembered. I love how it turned out and how the light plays with the clear acrylic. It took forever to melt and shape it, but the look is terrific.
Sept. 2010 – Group Show at the Springville Museum
This show will include Julie Buckley, George and Kirsten Barnhill, myself and another lady. We are so excited for this opportunity to exhibit such terrific artists in such a lovely Museum. I’ll post more as I am informed, we are still ironing out the details.
Utah ‘08: Painting and Sculpture
Utah Arts Council Annual Statewide Competition
It was tough but I did get a piece into the Arts Council’s Show. Waiting For the Son to Rise was accepted. This surprised and pleased me considering it’s religious implications.

Spring Salon
Today I found out that I got a Merit Award in the 2008 Springville Salon! So I feel terrific! The Salon is a really good show, I’ve seen stuff in L.A., San Francisco, D.C. even Moscow and it measures up pretty well. So if you love art, you won’t be let down.
