Description

Have you ever looked back at life and laid before you was the meaning of all the suffering that you had trudged through?  When I was asked to paint this picture I examined two lives, both which suffered individually and now have hope, together.  It seemed so clear that they were brought together by a grander pattern than their own choices.  I felt so honored to be able to create this heartwarming piece.  Love you both E and G!

Hope is a Thing with Feathers – by Emily Dickinson

“Hope” is the thing with feathers –

That perches in the soul –

And sings the tune without the words –

And never stops – at all –

And sweetest – in the Gale – is heard –

And sore must be the storm –

That could abash the little Bird

That kept so many warm –

I’ve heard it in the chillest land –

And on the strangest Sea –

Yet – never – in Extremity,

It asked a crumb – of me.
