The Last Hike

$375.00

24″ x 16.5 ” x 1.5″ Acrylic and mixed media on cradled panel.

Memory of the last hike I went on with my mom and my boys before she died.

The maps integrated into the tree trunks are about planning where we will be rooted, what our path will be.  The hazy back ground is about the life after this one, and our hope to see our loved ones again.  The feather is about our conscious choices to leave good memories and wisdom behind for our loved ones.

Description

Have you ever wondered what you would leave behind in this life for your children, your family, your legacy?  What will your life say about who you are and what will people remember about you?

This painting is about the last hike I went on with my mom before she died.  I found a blue bird feather on that hike that I kept for years.  Blue birds are symbols of remembrance.  I challenge you to consider what you want to leave behind.
