The Small and Great Designs of God

$2,950.00

How does an artist react to the isolation of 2020?  This painting came from the struggles and lessons of this time period.  I’ve seen miracles and learned some difficult things.  But most of all that God’s plan is over all.

Acrylic on panel 48″ x 32″.

Description

I began this painting at the start of the isolation of 2020.  It is about the designs and works of God in our lives.  From the small things like running under fresh laundry as a child to the powerlines that represent the power of men, yet remind us of the cross.  Through out the painting are symbols of God’s work, like constellations and ravens that represent the two thieves on the cross with Jesus, the Son.  In this painting he is shone as The Sun bleaching the sheets white, cleansing them.  Also at the bottom are ravens representing Mary, Martha, John etc who were with Jesus when He was crucified.  To encompass the work I’ve included olive branches for peace and other ravens who symbolize the earth and heaven angels who help us to hold back the darkness so that the Light of Christ may shine in our lives.
